Fernando Borromeo, PT

Fernando S. Borromeo, PT, is an expert physical therapist treating patients at Holsman Physical Therapy, with locations throughout New Jersey and New York City. 

Fernando earned his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Far Eastern University - Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation in Quezon City, Philippines. 

Then, he completed the cultural competency and consultation, screening, referral, and delegation (CSRD) courses at the Philippine Rehabilitation Institute in Quezon City. 

Fernando trained at The Philippine Heart Center in Quezon City, where he gained skills in treating patients with cardiovascular and neurological issues using standard protocols for rehabilitation. 

He worked as a staff physical therapist at Manila Doctors Hospital in Manila and East Avenue Medical Center in Quezon City. He went on to work as a medical editor and transcription specialist at eData Services Philippines, Inc. in Makati City. 

After relocating to the United States, he joined Quality Care PT and Rehab as a physical therapist at multiple locations in East Orange, Belleville, and West Orange, New Jersey. He provided evaluations and designed programs of physical therapy treatments in an outpatient setting. 

Fernando has experience in physical agent treatments, such as hot packs, therapeutic ultrasounds, paraffin wax, and electrical stimulation. He administers manual exercises, soft tissue mobilization, and traction to relieve pain, increase function, and prevent deformity.
